In the Beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. (Firmament part 2)

In the last article with the same title, but not with the added part 2 in the title, we discussed Genesis paragraphs 1:1-1:10
1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
1:4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
1:5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
1:6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.
1:7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.
1:8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.
1:9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.
1:10 And God called the dry land Earth: and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.
The image above depicts this 3 tier or 3 level Universe as God has described. The first level or highest level which sits at the firmament level is Heaven. 1:8 And God called the firmament Heaven.
The second level called earth and the Seas. 1:10 And God called the dry land Earth: and the gathering together of the waters called the Seas.
The third level referenced in the image as the underworld. The underworld has many opposing and contradictory meanings. For the purpose of this article we will “settle” on a resting place for the dead, a supernatural realm for the non-living.
The third level is mentioned many times in the Bible. Philippians 2:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 2:11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

The description of the firmament in the Bible was a true eye opener for me. I can now look up at the sky with new meaning and I feel drawn closer to God, Jesus and Heaven just with this new gained knowledge and perspective. As I said in my last article, I always feel an overwhelming peace when I am in the ocean waters. I now believe this peace is because the Seas are connected to heaven and the waters above the firmament. I now also find it interesting that the color of the sky is in fact blue, which is also the same color as the oceans. As I looked up at the sky this morning, I thought I could see or feel the firmament and it was a good feeling to know that heaven resides within and above the firmament. That I can actually see heaven is truly a miracle.

The articles I have written about the firmament are not to “validate” my feelings and belief about God and Heaven, they are more about gaining knowledge and revelation through the word of God (the Bible) My feelings and love for God are in my heart and my soul and are un-matched with any earthly feelings. Now when I see rain clouds I know it is a gift from the heavens. I also know this gift could be disaster as it was in Genesis 6:17 And behold, I , even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and everything that is in the earth shall die.

These are troubling times that we are in, but they are also a time of reflection and revelation, and finding your inner being. For me the inner being is Jesus Christ. For he who is in me is greater than the one who is in the world.
God bless you all. Amen.
