I have found that the early morning is a perfect time for private conversations with God. There is something to be said about being the first to rise in your home, when all is quiet and still. The earlier the better.
I start by making a cup of coffee, and move in to my make shift office. I clear the table of the previous day’s work, notes, papers, laptops, etc. I move my study bible front and center.
I pray in the morning, afternoon, evenings, and all through out the day. My prayers are mostly about being grateful, thankful, and joyful. I use my morning prayer time if I have a special request to God, but most of my prayer time is spent praising, thanking, and forgiveness.
What am I thankful for?
- That I am alive and get to enjoy a new day
- That my wife and cat are alive and get to enjoy a new day.
- That my family is alive and get to enjoy a new day.
- That my friends and neighbors are alive and get to enjoy a new day.
- For unbelievable Peace, Serenity, Love, Joy
- For my health and well being
- For my abundance
- For my successful tennis business
- For my Mom, Dad, and Grandma in heaven
- And many other things that pop into my head….
What are you thankful for?
Make your own list, and when praying, ensure you give God his well deserved thank you for taking such great care of you.
I was given a prayer from the Holy Spirit
As I was praying and meditating the other morning, I had an overwhelming feeling to start writing. I grabbed a pad of paper and just wrote and wrote. When the message was finished downloading to me, this was the prayer I was given. I hope you enjoy it.
A Prayer in the Morning
The morning sunrise shines on my face.
I see the light, I am the light. The light in the sight of the Lord God Almighty
The warmth of the sun comforts me. I feel overwhelming Peace, overwhelming Power and Strength.
I praise my King and kneel at his feet.
I praise you oh King, I honor you my Lord
I exalt you with all my being.
I feel warm through my heart and soul.
I feel inner joy.
I feel God touching me with his warm hands, touching my heart, igniting a fire.
Igniting a fire within to raise my hands, and Praise him, Love him, Share him.
To Thank him, Revere him, Honor him, my Father, my Creator.
I love you with all my being, all my heart, all my soul.
Thank you for this day, my daily bread, lead me not into temptation but deliver
me from evil, for thine is the Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory forever
Amen, Amen, and Amen.
Your wings wrap around me and you say, this is my son who I am proud of.
For God so loved the world, he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believe in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.
Amen to all, and Peace on Earth.
In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
