Christian faith is in jeopardy. World wide there is a movement to suppress the word of God, Jesus, and the Bible. And not just Christianity. Catholic, Muslim, and other religions are also being banned in certain countries.
Can religion be banned in the United States currently?
The short answer is no. The United States has the First Amendment Protections
The First Amendment of the US Constitution states:
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.”
This means the Government can’t ;
- Establish an official religion (the Establishment Clause)
- Interfere with individuals rights to practice their religion (the Free Exercise Clause).
Can Religion be banned in the future in the United States?
Anything is possible in our World today. Some questions to ask yourself?
- Will I stand up for God and Jesus under persecution?
- Are my beliefs strong enough to be vilified in the world for Jesus sake?
The answer, or at least my answer is yes. I will stand up for Jesus. Jesus stood up for us 2000 years ago, was humiliated, tortured, and sentenced to death by crucifixion. He did that for us. He died for us. He suffered for us. He gave his life for us.
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, he gave his only son, that whosoever believe in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.”
What Countries are banned from Christianity/Religion
- North Korea. Strict ban. Anyone caught practicing Christianity faces imprisonment, forced labor, or even execution.
- Saudi Arabia. Practicing any religion other than Islam is forbidden.
- Afghanistan. Under Taliban rule, practicing Christianity or converting from Islam can be punishable by death.
- Iran. Irans government restricts the practice of Christianity especially converts from Islam. Converting Muslims to Christians is illegal and can result in imprisonment or worse.
- Christianity, Catholicism and Buddhism is banned in China. Punishment includes arrest, imprisonment, torture.
Jesus warns about the World’s Hatred
John 15:18-21
18: “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first.”
19: “If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.”
20: ” Remember the words I spoke to you: No servant is greater than the master. If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they would obey yours also.”
21: ” They will treat you this way because of my name, for they do not know the One who sent me.”
How should we stand with the Persecuted
We should empathize with the persecuted.
I Corinthians 12:26; “If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.”
Hebrews 13:3 ; “Remember those in prison as if you were their fellow prisoners, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering.”

Pray and Mediate on Gods word daily, and you will know how to respond if you find yourself being persecuted for loving our Lord and Savior, Jesus.
I pray for all of you for discernment and understanding of this persecution.
In Jesus precious name
Amen
