During the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris France this year, a despicable act of disrespect and blasphemy was viewed worldwide, insulting over 2 billion Christians, and countless others worldwide.

This image is purportedly portraying Jesus Last Supper, with drag queens, trans, and other misguided individuals. The opening ceremony has been deemed inappropriate and disgusting by most free world leaders, and even the Vatican chimed in with disapproval, ” The Holy See was saddened by certain scenes at the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games and has joined the voices raised in recent days to deplore the offense done to many Christians and believers of other religions.”
The Olympic Organizers and the Producer of this insulting act have “apologized” if anyone was offended. Well yes, many were offended. Sponsors pulled out of the games, and people swore an alliance to not watch the Olympics.
There was even more insults to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The Paris Olympics also banned any thankful comments to Jesus Christ or God if the athlete’s won their competition and wanted to thank their creator. Some athletes have violated this decree and have publicly thanked God and Jesus, but most times this has happened, the content is edited out.
These actions and others are clearly an attempt to discredit, insult, and blaspheme our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and his father almighty God.
But what should we do? How should we respond?

When Jesus was with us on earth over 2000 years ago, he left many examples how to handle others whose actions we were in disagreement with. Some of his best examples were in his famous Sermon on the Mount found in the book of Matthew starting with Chapter 5.
Matthew 7:1-6 Jesus states: ” Do not Judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye, when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and than you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brothers eye.
What Jesus was saying here is that we should not tear others down to make ourselves feel better about ourselves and our own shortcomings. We are to be more discerning rather than negative. Jesus was clear, do not Judge, or you too will be judged. There is only one Judge, that is God himself. God will Judge all during the reading of the book of life
“Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and then turn and tear you to pieces.”
What Jesus was saying here is that we should not entrust holy teaching to unholy or unclean people. It is futile to try to teach holy concepts to people who don’t want to listen and they will only tear apart what we say. We should be wise and discerning in what we teach to whom, so that we will not be wasting our time. You are also letting other peoples thoughts dictate our own positive thoughts and bringing us down.
God wants us to be humble, peaceful, loving and caring for all of his children. If one of his children get lost, Jesus will find them and bring them back to his flock. Our role is to maintain our relationship with God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Our relationship is strengthened with daily bible readings, prayer, meditation and thanksgiving. We must be ready when God sends someone along our path, ready to spread the word of God, to offer words of encouragement, peace, love, and joy. We can’t do this if we are negative, or anxious about how other people act and behave.
Be thankful to God for each new day you are blessed to enjoy, and make a positive difference in your part of the world.
God Bless
