6 messages Jesus Christ left us while on Earth.

While Jesus was on earth he represented God, his father in every way. He was the most righteous man to ever walk this planet. He was without sin. He taught the word of God. He performed great miracles. He healed the sick, he cured the blind. He brought people back from the dead. He stood trial for a crime he did not committ. He died on a cross, and was resurrected 3 days later. He ascended to Heaven to be with his Father.
But what were the key messages that Jesus left us with? Jesus left us with 6 key messages.
1. Love and Compassion. Jesus emphasized both Love and Compassion for his Father and towards one another. He taught his followers;
Mark 12:29-31 Jesus was asked by one of the religious leaders, Of all the commandments, which is the most important? Jesus knew this was a teaching moment as he was surrounded by Religious Leaders and his followers. He answered; ” The most important one is this: Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment. greater than these.”
Matthew 5:44 “But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.”
2. Repentance and Forgiveness: Jesus called people to repentance and offered forgiveness for sins. He preached God’s kingdom was near and that people should turn away from sin and turn towards God.
Mark 1:15. “The time has come,” Jesus said. “The kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good news.”
He also emphasized the importance of forgiving others, as God forgives us. Matthew 6:14-15 Jesus said. “For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your Heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.”
3. Salvation through Faith: Jesus taught that salvation comes through faith in him as the Son of God and the Savior of humanity.
John 14:6 Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
4. The Kingdom of God: Jesus frequently spoke about the Kingdom of God, describing it as both a present reality and future fulfillment. He taught about the values and principles of God’s kingdom, including righteousness, humility, and service.
Matthew 5-7 One excerpt from Jesus sermon on the mount, “Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.”
5. Service and Humility: Jesus modeled servanthood and humility, teaching his disciples that greatness comes from serving others rather than seeking power or status.
Matthew 20:25-28. As Jesus disciples were trying to figure out who among them was most important, Jesus stopped them and reminded them of servanthood and humility. “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them. Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you, must be your servant, and whoever want to be first must be your slave, just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
He washed his disciples feet as an example of humble service.
John 13: 13-17 Jesus told his disciples;”You call me Teacher and Lord, and rightly so, for that is what I am. Now that I your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. I tell you the truth, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.”
6. The Second Coming: Jesus also spoke about his eventual return to Earth, warning us to be watchful and prepared for the day of judgement.
Matthew 24:42-44. He taught that he would come again in glory to establish God’s eternal kingdom. “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. But understand this: If the owner of the house had known what time of night the thief would was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. So you must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.”
Overall, Jesus message centered on love, forgiveness, repentance, salvation through faith in him, the coming of God’s kingdom, and the call to live lives of service and humility in anticipation of his return. These teachings continue to be central to our faith as Christians.
If you are not saved, get saved today. Repent of your sins. Go to a quiet place and plead with Jesus to forgive you for your sins. Start life anew, read the Bible, pray day and night, get into a Bible based Church. I pray you will find God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit as I have, and live your life in Peace, Love and Joy, knowing you will soon be heaven, with everlasting life.
In Jesus name I pray for you. Amen, and Amen.
