Part 2 of the series, ” It’s time to get saved and have everlasting life”.
My hope is that one person has made the decision to ask Lord Jesus to forgive you for your sins by repenting, and asking Jesus to come into your heart, soul, and life. By doing so, you are setting yourself on an exciting journey of discovery, amazement and grace by God. You are also insuring yourself of eternal life after death in heaven above, to live in God’s grace forever. The reciprocal effect of not living in God’s grace forever, is to live in God’s wrath forever. 1 Thessalonians 5:9 ” For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ”.
If you are not sure you need to be saved, look around the world today and ask yourself, do I want to live in a world full of strife, war, famine, financial uncertainty, world hunger, health crisis ( think Covid ). Or do I want to live in a world of Peace, Love and Joy. Do I want to live in Heaven forever, or Hell? I choose to live in a world governed by God the creator of heaven and earth. Our time and ability to gain salvation from our Lord Jesus is very brief. We may think we have time, and we might, but if you live to be 100 years old, it is like a second of eternity, a whisp of the wind, a finger snap of time.
The time to get saved is now. Say a prayer tonight. Ask Jesus to forgive you for your sins, repent of your sins which means you are admitting your weakness in the flesh and asking for repentance meaning you understand it is a sin, and you are committing to not duplicate that sin again. Ask Jesus to come into your heart and soul, and you will make him your Lord and Savior. Speak to Jesus from the heart in prayer. Disclose to him your feelings and your fears, and ask Jesus to take on these fears on your behalf. Some fears you may have are, financial fears, fears to pay your bills, fears you may lose your job, or you have lost your job, and need to find another. Fears about your health, Fears about your marriage or relationship, Fears about the world, Fears about war, Fears about crime. Ask Jesus to take on those fears for you in prayer. Pray at night and Pray in the morning. Share your fears with Jesus every day until you begin hearing Jesus answer you. He will answer you!!!! He will answer you when you are reading the Bible. He will answer you at Church. He will answer you in Gospel. He will answer you in Godly videos. Online Churches. In your dreams, In your meditations, In your prayers. Begin having conversations with Jesus. This is what happens when your ask Jesus to come into your heart. Jesus will be with you for eternity through the Holy Spirit, who Jesus left with us as he ascended to heaven after his cruxifixction.
One of the best examples of what it means to be saved is a conversation Jesus had with a high ranking Pharisee named Nicodemus. This conversation is highlighted in John Chapter 3. Nicodemus was astonished at the miracles Jesus was performing and asked for a meeting with Jesus in Capernaum to better understand what he had seen and heard. Jesus did meet with Nicodemus and after listening to Nicodemus question him about the miracles, Jesus answered in John 3:3; “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God”.
John 3:4; “Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?
John 3:5; Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the spirit, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God.”
John 3:6; That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the spirt is spirit.
John 3:7; “Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again”.
Jesus is clear with Nicodemus that the only way to be saved is to leave your fleshly existence and after being saved you are reborn of water and spirit. Jesus continued his conversation by saying,
John 3:16; “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believe in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Start today by being saved, for we know not what tomorrow brings. Start praying today; Lord Jesus, I repent of my sins, come into my heart, I will make you my Lord and Savior. Pray this every day until it becomes habit, and you will soon be speaking directly with God, his son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.
Comment if you have any further questions on how to get saved today.
I pray that you will get saved today.
In Jesus precious name I pray. Amen.
