It is time to get saved and have everlasting life

This is Part 1 in a series entitled: “It is time to get saved and have everlasting life.” What does getting saved mean? In practicality, getting saved is repenting for your sins and turning your life over to Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. In return, God our Creator and Father promised everlasting life, a glorious life in heaven for all eternity. God’s promise is eternalized in the Bible. The book of John. The 4th book of the New Testament.
John 3:16; For God so loved the world, he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believe in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.
What is the alternative to getting saved and have everlasting life in Heaven? A life of torment in Hell. A life of darkness, a life of burning lakes, with no relief eternally. This is your fate if you don’t repent.
Do you believe in heaven and hell? My guess is you do, you have an internal belief in right from wrong, heaven and hell. It’s easy to say you don’t believe and move on with your life on earth. But your life is very short on earth, even if you live to be 100 years, it is like a whisp of wind compared to eternity.
When we die there are actually two deaths that occur. The death of the flesh which will be buried or cremated, and for all purposes ends here on earth. But there is also a spiritual death which is your soul, and our soul lives forever. Do we want our souls to live forever in heaven, with no pain, no suffering, only peace, love and joy. To be with our loved ones forever. Or do we want our souls banished to hell, alone, in the dark, surrounded only by your pain and suffering.
I am hopeful that you will choose Heaven over Hell. Peace and Love over Pain and Suffering.
I am praying that you choose repentance for your sins. Let’s pray together:
Lord Jesus, I will repent of my sins, I receive you Jesus as my Lord and Savior, I will follow you and serve you, please come in to my heart today. I pray to you in Jesus name, Amen. Pray this prayer often throughout each day.

True repentance is not just asking Jesus to forgive you of your sins, but it is a self awareness of what your sins are and how these sins affected not only your life, but the lives of others. True repentance means truly being sorry and aware of your sins and that what you did is not acceptable in Gods eyes. More importantly, repentance means you will not repeat this sin again.
What are sins? Sins are violations of God’s laws. Gods law is defined as the 10 commandments found in the book of Exodus in the Old Testament.
20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
20:4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
20:7 Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless the taketh his name in vain.
20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
20:12 Honour thy father and mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.
20:13 Thou shalt not kill.
20:14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.
20:15 Thou shalt not steal.
20:16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.
20:17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbors house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbors wife.
I am not here to judge anyone, but since Adam and Eve committed the sin of eating fruit from the tree of knowledge, all mankind since are destined to be sinners. As we are born into the flesh, we learn to accept sin and violation of God’s law as a matter of course. Sin is further advertised by Satan in the movies we watch, the music we listen to, the books we read, the internet and we become accepting of these sins.
We are all sinners. All of us. God knows this. That is why God sent his son Jesus Christ to earth, to be born in human form. To walk the earth for 33 years as the most righteous human being ever, and to ultimately pay for our sins, suffering a lonely horrible death on the cross. Jesus paid for all of our sins that day. His death and his blood washed away our sins. In return, we are to accept that Jesus is the Son of God, is our Lord and Savior, ask Jesus for repentance and forgiveness for our sins, and invite Jesus into our heart and soul.
“For God so loved the world, he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believe in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.”
